WORLD IN CONFLICT DEMO COMING AUGUST 24

 

Gamers Get First Taste of Single Player Campaign; More Multiplayer Combat from the Best Strategy Game of E3 2007

 

LOS ANGELES (August 20, 2007) -- Sierra Entertainment, a division of Vivendi Games, will release a public demo of World in Conflict , the award-winning action-strategy PC game developed by Massive Entertainment, on Aug. 24 – the first day of both Games Convention in Leipzig, Germany and Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, WA. The World in Conflict Demo will contain both single player and multiplayer modes.

 

World in Conflict will be available at retail outlets across North America on Sept. 18.

 

The World in Conflict Demo , which will be available as a free download, will give PC players a taste of the innovative gameplay and next-generation graphics that made World in Conflict the unanimous choice of E3 judges and media as the Best Strategy Game of E3 2007.

 

Included in the World in Conflict Demo will be:

 

· Multiplayer combat for up to 16 players in a match

 

Map: “Seaside” (US vs. USSR)

 

o Exclusive Bonus Map : Customers who have pre-ordered the game will also be able to play a second MP map: “Ruins” (US vs. USSR)

 

· First public experience with World in Conflictʼs epic single-player campaign

 

o Tutorial: US Airbase

 

o SP Mission 3: “The Battle of Pine Valley”

 

· Skirmish Mode: For the first time, players will be able to hone their combat skills versus bots (available only on “Seaside”

 

· Fully enabled online support through Massgate, including:

 

o Few-player-mode

 

o Clan matches

 

o Full access to Massgate forums

 

World in Conflict will be available Sept. 18 in both Standard and Collectorʼs Edition formats. The World in Conflict Collectorʼs Edition will include limited edition extras for hardcore fans and Cold War enthusiasts, including an authentic piece of the Berlin Wall, a bonus DVD from The History Channel ® , behind the scenes videos and special packaging. Additional pre-order bonuses for the Collectorʼs Edition and Standard Edition versions of World in Conflict are now available at participating retailers across North America, including an additional bonus DVD from The History Channel ® and other added content.

GC 2007: World in Conflict Updated Hands-on

Russians on our soil? We think not.

 

This may be the last time we write about World in Conflict before it releases in mid-September. We've seen nearly everything we can about the game aside from the end levels, which we'd love to save for the final. At last week's Sierra Gamers' Week (that publisher's precursor to GC 2007), Sierra and Massive let us step in from the beginning of the single player game to get through as much as we could in a short amount of time. We also had the pleasure of playing in a multiplayer tournament with other attendees ending with one of the most entertaining multiplayer gaming experiences in our recent memories. It also presented a great opportunity to check out their broadcast tools, which multiplayer spectators will likely love.

Δεν δίνει κάθε μέρα το Gamespot 95% σε παιχνίδι.

 

Το χαρακτηρίζει παιχνίδι της χρονιάς so far. Ούτε 1 μειονέκτημα.

 

Το παιχνίδι είναι από άλλο πλανήτη πραγματικά. Αλλάζει τα real time strategy 1 και καλή.

 

Κάνει το Supreme Commander και το Command Conquer να δείχουν πολύ πίσω απο γραφικά και δράση. Το προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα.

Επειδή πιστεύω οτι τα game reviews ειναι λίγο υποκειμενικά λεω να δω κανα βιντεακι και λιγο info και αμα είναι τόσο revolutionary θα το αγοράσω σίγουρα μιας και λάτρεψα το C&C3 και το SC
