Fallout 3 The Weapons: Video Montage

 

 

This may be the only video that could replace the simple yet entrancing appeal of a model in a bikini firing a machine gun, Fallout 3 and its weapons in a glorious montage.

 

The video features a few interviews with the development staff, gore splattered corridors and a little of the cheesy nuclear families from the original that we know and love.

Rumour-mill: Sonic Genesis collection in development for PS3 and Xbox 360

Sega has released many Mega Drive compilation collections for previous consoles in the market, and now it appears that they could be developing a special Sonic Genesis collection for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

 

This hasn't been officially confirmed by Sega, but two retail listings would suggest that a Sonic Genesis Collection is planned, at least for a North American release.

Bungie teases new Halo

Confirms next game is tied to Master Chief universe

 

Halo developer Bungie has started up its next game's teaser campaign (again), after the originally planned reveal was blocked by Microsoft earlier this year.

 

The now infamous 'superintendent' has appeared on the front of Bungie's website, backing up rumours that the mysterious game could be revealed as soon as this week.

 

The developer has also confirmed for the first time that the new game, which carries the tagline "keep it clean", does indeed take place in the Halo universe.

 

In the teaser's fake computer gibberish, which we bet Bungie's best writers spent ages coming up with, the post makes references to the UNSC, the Earth military organisation from the Halo games.

 

Bungie's new Halo, which Microsoft has already gone on record as happening, is said to be a third-person squad shooter in the style of Ghost Recon. It makes sense, seeing as ex-GRAW creative director Christian Allen is now under Bungie's pay role.

 

Hopefully we'll see something this week - the relentless teasing is getting annoying now.

UK Xbox 360 sales up 32%

 

GFK-ChartTrack confirms increase following last week's price cuts

 

Xbox 360 sales rocketed up 32 per cent over the weekend, official UK retail monitor GFK-ChartTrack has confirmed to MCV.

 

The console outsold the PS3, which saw an eight per cent drop in its sales compared to the previous weekend.

 

MCV broke the news last night that Xbox 360 had hit six million unit sales in Europe this week.

Xbox LIVE and Xbox.com will be down for 24 hours from 0900 UK time (1000 CET) on September 29 - but it's not all bad news! This downtime is really important as the Xbox LIVE team will be using it to prepare the service for the arrival of the New Xbox Experience later this year!

 

Just to be clear, NXE WILL NOT come online when the downtime finishes, but the service will then be ready to receive NXE when it does eventually go live.
