Whats new in Rainbow six vegas 2 Multi-Player:

I have no Idea what going to be new for the story but all i really know is that theirs a new story line.

EA unveils Tiberium

 

Electronic Arts has officially unveiled Command & Conquer first-person shooter Tiberium, due out on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in autumn 2008.

 

Developed by EA Los Angeles, Tiberium is a tactical FPS in which players control Forward Battle Commander Ricardo Vega, who must control infantry, armour and air squads to combat "a global crisis".

 

 

That crisis seems to be linked to an alien tower, standing over a wasteland where the Mediterranean used to be, which had been thought to be a relic of the Third Tiberium War but actually turns out to be some sort of staging post for an alien invasion. Ooh.

 

Vega will be able to call on a transforming personal weapon system, multi-launch homing missiles, capital ship bombardments and tactical ion cannon strikes in an effort to sort things out, says EA.

 

There will be single- and multi-player modes, with executive producer Chris Plummer claiming that the team hopes to evolve the tactical shoot-'em-up "by taking core gameplay compulsions like commanding, choice and dominating your enemies and delivering them in first-person".

Pre-order Gears of War 2!

 

It's been a while since we've run a story based on those online retailers jumping the gun and revealing an as yet unannounced title, so here goes nothing. Amazon's US website is listing Gears of War 2 for a November 15 release, 2008 on Xbox 360.

 

Now Microsoft or Epic haven't officially announced a sequel but even the man in the corner shop knows it's coming.

 

The fact that Amazon has listed the date as Nov 15 means that someone there knows a bit about video games, as the original launched around the same time in 2006 depending on where you live.

 

Two years for a sequel is plenty of time thesedays. We're actually going to raise our expectations because of this and not expect 'more of the same'.

 

Epic will have had plenty of time to plan accordingly. Fingers crossed Microsoft and / or Epic announces Gears 2 soon.

Saints Row 2 preview

 

Firstly, Saints Row 2 is packing a lot of elements that should have been included in the first place, namely aircraft. Fixed wing aircraft and helicopters are in, as are motorbikes, jet-skis, speedboats and more, and most of them will have performance upgrades available. The addition of aircraft in particular is handy given that the Stilwater location in SR2 will apparently be 45% larger than that of the first game.

 

Character customisation, which was already quite deep in the previous game, has been enhanced to the point where you can customise your characterʼs sex, or in the words of the developers, “you can play as a man, a woman or anything in between”. Yes, your dreams of controlling an Uzi-toting transsexual are about to come true (you sicko).

 

Players will now be able to take hostages and use them as human shields, which will apparently be particularly useful during interior combat. You can also dual-wield ranged firearms, and rip things out of the environment such as road signs and mailboxes to use as melee weapons, Incredible Hulk style. In fact, nearly every object in the gameʼs sprawling environment can be interacted with in one way or another.

 

One massive inclusion in the game is the online co-op mode. Weʼre not talking the watered-down two-player component from the last game, this is a substantial co-op mode that allows you to play through the entire story and all the side missions with a friend over Xbox Live, ala Crackdown. Can you even imagine how cool that will be? The developers are also promising additional mission objectives specific to the co-op mode in order to put a greater focus on teamwork.

 

Not only is the city of Stilwater much larger in SR2 than it was in the original, itʼs also set to feature over 130 building interiors to explore and/or crash through, six new above ground districts and four underground, plus every district from the first game has been retouched and redesigned to make the experience seem fresh.

 

While Rockstarʼs GTA IV seems to be focussing on realism, Saints Row 2 is shaping up to be an enjoyable hyper-realistic alternative. Weʼll have more in the coming months, but for now weʼll leave you to ponder how much funnier throwing yourself in front of traffic during the Insurance Fraud missions will be with a friend.

Heroes over Europe coming to next-gen systems

Red Mile Entertainment has today announced the development of Heroes over Europe, the sequel to the 600,000 selling 2005 PlayStation 2 Xbox and PC game Heroes of the Pacific.

 

The game is in development at Transmission Games for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC and is powered by an all-new game engine promising cutting-edge visuals. The game will revisit the action in the key European air battles of WWII and follows the story of three allied pilots and their actions in the war. This includes the invasion of France and the devastation of Berlin in 1945.

How to Spot A Xbox 360 With a Falcon Chip And Why You Should

 

 

It is not news that the Xbox 360 has some serious tech issues and it breaks a lot more than it should. Fine. MS has changed the chip configuration and there are some benefits to see if the Xbox 360 you are about to buy it the right one.

 

Here is how:

 

All you need to do is look at the UPC symbol and see the 175W, which is the wattage for the newer power supply. This confirms that a Falcon chip is inside and not the Zephyr, which is an older model.

 

The Falcon chipped models have a much less chance of failing due to aluminum heat sinks and uses much less power so will be a lot quieter.

BioShock Sells 2 Million Copies Worldwide

 

In announcing their financial results for the fourth quarter, Take-Two confirmed BioShock has now sold over two million copies worldwide across Xbox 360 and PC.

 

Also, the newly formed 2K Marin will reportedly head BioShock 2, while Levine works on something completely new.

Some early versions of DivX video will not play back on the 360

 

One advantage for Sony over Microsoft is that the PS3 will actually be DivX Certified.

 

"The recent Xbox update does not support full DivX playback; Microsoft has added support for MPEG-4, which is not the same thing as full DivX Certification," Bruce Lidl, PR manager for DivX Inc., told Ars Technica.

 

"In practical terms, it is true that some DivX files will playback on the Xbox, because DivX is in part based on the MPEG-4 standard. But many early versions of DivX video will not play back on the console, and the device has not been tested
