Αλλο το GoW και αλλο το Halo.. Τελειως διαφορετικο gameplay.. Το Halo μπορει να μην δρεπει δαφνες σε κανενα τομεα και να αριστευει σε κατι, αλλα η ολη εικονα και ατμοσφαιρα του παιχνιδιου ειναι απιστευτη..

Εννοειται πρωτοτυπο και αυτο οπως και το GoW και το NBA2K7

Pre-Order DiRT, Get Bonus Content

Colin McRae won't let his fans drive away empty handed.

Codesmasters announced today a pre-order bonus offer in anticipation of the release of DiRT next month. Starting today, eager gamers who pre-order the mud-splattered racing extravaganza at participating retailers will receive a unique access code which will unlock 10 cars in the game and provide access to exclusive off-road racing videos.

Upon pre-ordering the game, players will receive a unique code, as well as instructions for how to use that code to unlock the bonus content in the game. For all you gear-heads out there, the cars offered in this pre-order bonus are: the Subaru Impreza WRX-RA STI version II, Toyota Celica GT-FOUR, Peugot 205 T16, Lancia Delta S4, Icker Jimco buggy, McMillin Racing Car, Kamaz 4911, MAN TGA, Freightliner Century Class S/T and the Kenworth T2000.

Epic: UT3 is Gears on Crack, Cover is for Wimps!

The latest issue of OXM features a six-page article on Unreal Tournament 3. More important, the preview contains the first details regarding the Xbox 360 version of the game, which both the developers and the magazine editors confirmed it is looking in its current state better than Gears of War.

The reason for that is Epic Games has improved the Unreal Engine 3 for Xbox 360 since they shipped Gears of War six months ago.

In the preview, Epic Gamesʼ Steven Polge, the lead designer of Unreal Tournament 3, confirms that the Xbox 360 version of the game will support four-player co-op and two-player split-screen in the single-player campaign, which will let you take different paths depending on the decisions you take.

The preview also revealed that Unreal Tournament 3 will feature 18 vehicles and 5 types of turrets. Epic also promises “zero-time to spectacle” thanks to the hoverboard (two of them being linked to a Manta in the picture below).

Regarding the controls, Polge revealed that they are so good that half the people who work on the game prefer to play the Xbox 360 version. Furthermore, the guy responsible for the controls has stepped in playtest sessions, where everyone was on keyboards, and with a controller he kicked everyoneʼs butt.

Now that Epic is known among Xbox gamers for Gears or War rather than its emblematic Unreal franchise, the comparison between the two series is inevitable.

Jerry OʼFlaherty, the art director for both games, says that “Gears if a more confined game. UT is about big, huge distances. The speed of UT is so quick; itʼs not a walking environment, itʼs a running or flying environment.”

Finally, Polge chipped into the discussion saying: “Itʼs Gears on crack. Cover is for wimps!”

Rumor: Silent Hill 5 To Xbox 360 And PS3 This Year

Both Xbox 360 and PS3 will be seeing Silent Hill 5 by the end of 2007, according to the rumor section of the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly. This would be the first iteration of the series on either console.

The other tidbit from EGM states that development of the Xbox 360 and PS3 title will be spearheaded in by Konami in the United States instead of in Japan.

The website CVG reported in April that Akira Yamaoka, the producer of Silent Hill 2 on PC, would be working on the latest SH game. "At the moment I cannot reveal much detail on the story, or our progress, but I can tell you that this game will resemble Silent Hill 2 in the terms of the way the player is directed and the characters' behaviour," said Yamaoka.

Konami has yet to comment on the magazine's assertions, but we'll be on the lookout for more details about SH5 as they become available.

γιατι πρεπει να εισαι χτυπημενος απο το hype της ms για να σου αρεσει το halo?

Όχι βέβαια, αυτό που εννοούσα ήταν ότι υπάρχουν πράγματα για τα οποια αξίζει το 360-hype (βλέπε GoW, Guitar Hero 2 κ.α.) ενώ πολλα άλλα παιχνίδια είναι υπέρ του δέοντος υπερτιμημένα. Φυσικά το θέμα είναι εντελώς υποκειμενικό. Όταν με το καλό βγει το Halo 3 final είναι βέβαιο ότι θα του ρίξω μια ματιά και ελπίζω να μου αρέσει.
