If Rainbow Six Vegas raised the tactical shooter bar originally set by GRAW last year then this sequel pushes it even higher. Despite the relatively short single-player game, itʼs a much better all-round package, boasting a wonderfully epic campaign thatʼs supported by a fully fleshed-out multiplayer experience. Although it doesnʼt push the series forward in great leaps and bounds, the refinements that have been made – the improved Cross Com, meatier multiplayer and more diverse campaign objectives – really do shine and only the stunted single-player game stops it from scoring higher.

Shivering Isles Priced, Dated

When can you visit Oblivion's new Isles, and how much will it cost you?

oday Bethesda announced the price and release date for the latest expansion to its epic RPG landscape, The Elder Scrolls IV: The Shivering Isles. Players can download the expansion from Xbox Live the week of March 26 for 2400 Microsoft Points ($29.99).

 

Also, a Shivering Isles trailer will available on Xbox Live later today, along with a new theme and pic pack.

Νομίζω είμαι για να τσιμπάω κι εγώ το τιμονάκι σιγά σιγά. Όχι τίποτα άλλο, μη το ψάχνω και δε το βρίσκω όταν θα χρειαστεί. Και το TDU στο Hardcore μου φαίνεται καλή φάση για λίγη προπόνηση.

 

Κάτσε ρε συ, μη βιάζεσαι. Θα δώσεις 150 ευρώ για την απίθανη ασύρματη τιμονιέρα για να παίζεις Test Drive...Arcade Unlimited? Κάτσε να βγει το Forza 2 πρώτα και τότε θα λιώνουμε όλοι παρέα. Τότε θα την τσιμπήσω κι εγώ (κι ας έχω ήδη 3 τιμονιέρες για το PC).

Νομίζω πολλά λες 150 ευρώ. Για το forza το θέλω κι΄εγώ φυσικά, αλλά αφού θα το πάρω που θα το πάρω λέω να δω πως παίζει και στο TDU. :-D

ΟΚ έχεις δίκιο, 130 ευρώπουλα την έχει ο Παπασωτηρίου (και άλλα μαγαζιά φαντάζομαι).

 

Όμως αυτό που πρακτικά θα πρέπει να γίνει με το Forza2 είναι να υποστηρίζει την G25 της Logitech. Ήδη γίνονται πολλά petitions στη MS εδώ και καιρό αλλά δεν υπάρχει ακόμα αποτέλεσμα ή απάντηση.

Λογικά δεν θα γίνει τίποτα, γιατί η MS δεν πρόκειται να κάτσει να φτιάξει τιμόνι με τις (απίστευτες για τα λεφτά της) προδιαγραφές της G25 και ούτε πρόκειται να αφήσει την Logitech να "χτυπήσει" την ασύρματη τιμονιέρα της.

 

(Δυστυχώς (?) αν έχεις παίξει με την G25 όλες οι άλλες τιμονιέρες κάτω των 1000 ευρώ σου φαίνονται τουλάχιστον ψεύτικες...)

Δεν έχω δοκιμάσει ποτέ την G25 η κάτι αντίστοιχο αλλά σε πιστεύω. :-D Το κόβω όμως πολύ χλωμό να την υποστηρίζει το forza. Βολέψου τώρα με αυτή :-P

Castle Crashers likely due 2008, receiving more content

It seems that Microsoft's decision to expand the size restriction of Xbox Live Arcade games has become a double-edged sword, especially to fans of sword-swinging, skull-crushing adventure, Castle Crashers. After congratulating The Behemoth's Dan Paladin on the team's IGF award win at the Wednesday evening's ceremony, we enquired about the game's release timeframe and were met with less than pleasing information.

 

Mr. Paladin noted that the XBLA title still had "about a year of development left," thus placing the completed Castle Crashers in 2008 at the earliest. Disappointing news, certainly, but not entirely without one of those consolatory silver linings that people love to point and stare at. When Joystiq asked about the length of the game, Paladin noted that the 100MB boost in the XBLA size limit had allowed The Behemoth to include even more content and features in the game, making it a fuller and more satisfying adventure overall.

 

Alright, 2008. Come over here please.
