It seemed like the Xbox died suddenly? SK No, I don't regret that at all. First of all, we made a strategic decision as a company that we were going to focus on the next generation. We're going to bring our most important assets to the next-generation and we made that decision a couple of years before we launched the Xbox 360 so that we could start to have a portfolio lined up and I think we're starting to see the fruits of that. We knew we weren't going to win the last generation, so it's not about 'how do milk as much money as we can' out of the last generation, it's about how do we define the future. That's what winning the next-generation is all about. It'd be an easy financial thing to say 'hey you should do another Halo for Xbox version one, but that doesn't really help us or our customers. We know we can create a much better experience on Xbox 360 for Halo 3. Frankly, I don't think that's what the developers want. Most of our development partners are completely focused on 'how do we redefine what the bar of next-gen gaming is.' They are completely focused on setting the new standard. Doing another version on [Xbox one]? They all believe they'll make more money on Xbox 360. 1UPDo you think that 360 owners are concerned that their machine will be dropped suddenly like its predecessor? SK In the first generation, we would never have been the publisher that would develop the bulk of the portfolio. You've got to look to the third parties to supply the bulk of the titles that would continue to add to the library for version one consumers. With respect to Xbox 360, I'd say that we absolutely believe that we're going to win this generation and we believe it [the Xbox 360] is going to have a very long tail. If we could have a PS2-like tail, that would be awesome for the Xbox 360. I don't think you're going to see the same abrupt move to the next-generation. Play.com has slashed the price of the console by a quarter, selling the machine for GBP 149.99 instead of the RRP of GBP 199.99. The move follows retail chain Makro's decision to sell the Xbox 360 Premium unit for GBP 199.99, effectively reducing it to the same price as Core units. Microsoft has given no indication that an official price cut is on the way, yet the retail community in Europe is happy to discount the hardware, despite healthy sales. Rival online store Amazon.co.uk has also reduced the price of the Core Xbox 360, to GBP 189.99. It also currently sells the pink Sony PSP - a sales success last Christmas - for GBP 109.99, GBP 40 below the RRP.

When Blue Dragon at last made its way onto Japanese retail shelves late last year, the question on everyone's mind was, how long will we have to wait for the next big 360 JRPG? Today, thanks to Famitsu, we have the answer: about six months. Bandai Namco Games will release Trusty Bell: Chopan no Yume to Japan on 6/14, the magazine reveals. Pricing is set at the standard Bandai Namco Games next generation price point of 6,980 yen. xrest Δημοσ. 21 Φεβρουαρίου 2007 Δημοσ. 21 Φεβρουαρίου 2007 Shivering Isles 360 gets new achievements Bethesda confirmed at a recent press event that Shivering Isles will be one of the first games to make use of the extra 250 achievement points available for downloadable expansion packs. The Oblivion add-on for 360 will also feature new shader technology that should bring the game up to the graphical standard of the PS3 copy, adding to recent comments from Bethesda spokesperson Pete Hines that the two versions will look virtually identical. Shivering Isles is the first proper expansion pack for the The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. It takes place in the wacky realm of Daedra Prince Sheogorath, who looks to you to become his champion and save his world from invasion. You'll be tasked to undergo lots of weird and wonderful quests, picking up new items, spells, and crafting new armour. It's due for release in spring, via Xbox Live for console owners, and in retail stores for PC pests. Oblivion is a launch title for PS3 when the console arrives in Europe on 23rd March. There's no word on the inclusion of the expansion pack, though previous downloadable update, The Knights of the Nine, will be included.
