120GiG Black Xbox360 With HDMI Official!?

 

Just yesterday our inside source gave us a tip that Microsoft Australia has told a store named Myer to prepare the store for a Black 360 with a 120GB hard drive in April. Well day 2 of product knowledge today (Brisbane, Australia) featured Microsoft themselves and it's now 100% official that the Black 360, (with black controller), 120gb hard drive and HDMI is due out in Australia for $749 AU in April. They will try to push this forward to late March to deter buyers from the March 23 PS3 launch. Hopefully we see this good news sometime in Europe and USA. Should you take it as a grain of salt or not, whats your thoughts?

Rumor: "Official" word on 120GB+HDMI 360?

Apparently, Microsoft Australia has informed a local retailer named Myer to get its store ready for a Black Xbox 360 with an HDMI port and 120 GB Hard Drive. The MSRP for the 2.0 360 is $749 AU (which translates into about $582 USD/ $690 CAD) and it is expected to be released in April, although Microsoft allegedly wants to push for late March to compete with the PS3's launch on the 23rd. Interesting news, but at the same time, don't believe everything you read.

EA Unveils Half-Life 2 Orange Content and Box

 

 

Electronic Arts and Valve unveiled today the content and front cover of The Black Box and The Orange Box, the two flavors of the upcoming Half-Life 2 packages that will ship for PC and next-gen consoles. The Xbox 360 will only get The Orange Box, which includes all the content of The Black Box (Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2), plus the original Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: Episode One.

 

The box spots a simple design, which highlights the 5 games included with this must-have Half-Life 2 combo.

Πολύ καλά πακετάκια, καλύπτουν και αυτούς που έχουν ήδη κάποια games της σειράς και αυτούς που εισάγονται από το μηδέν. Θα κυκλοφορήσουν και για PC.

Following yesterday's news that Sega's March 20 release of Virtua Tennis 3 would herald the first Xbox 360 game to feature native 1080p support, a representative from Electronic Arts has revealed to Gamasutra that its upcoming NBA Street Homecourt, shipping a month earlier on February 20, will also support the high end resolution on Xbox 360.

 

While Microsoft first announced support for native 1080p games and movies in its October 2006 Xbox Live update, it heralded a number of titles competing to be the first to offer the highest-end HD resolution, and it appears that EA's title will indeed beat Sega's to retail with the hitherto not well-publicized resolution included.

Square Enix develops MMORPG for Xbox 360

 

Square Enix works on a MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer on-line Role Playing Game) for the Xbox 360. The game confirmed from Hiromichi Tanaka of Square Enix in the discussion with pro G.co.uk. The play is to appear also for Vista, while PlayStation3 would be as platform a possibility. Release: TBA
