Call of Duty® 3 » Update Announcement

 

Call of Duty fans,

 

 

 

A quick note to check in and let you know that weʼre in final test for the Call of Duty 3 multiplayer Title Update and that we hope to be released to the Xbox Live community in the coming days. We really want to thank everyone again for their continued support and feedback – you have been a tremendous help.

 

 

 

When it propagates, the update will download automatically upon logging into Xbox Live and running Call of Duty 3. This update addresses many of the Ranked and Player Match issues that weʼve discussed over the last few weeks. While weʼve made a number of enhancements, the most significant improvement is that Ranked Matches join lobbies much faster through both Custom and Quick Match. Player Matches through Quick Match will now query a higher number of games before attempting to join, thus returning a better variety and better quality for the player.

 

 

 

Additionally, weʼve added some gameplay, HUD and options enhancements. For example, brightness settings will be saved across both single-player and multiplayer; players will be able to instantly punish medics who maliciously team kill and revive continuously; Auto Team Balance will remain turned on after multiple map rotations, ensuring that each team always has an equal number of players; and players will be able to select either Axis or Allies in Ranked Battle games.

 

 

 

These enhancements will create a more streamlined gameplay experience; however, please be aware that online play is always complicated by players with non-optimal router and connection settings – donʼt hesitate to refer to Xbox Liveʼs “best practices” for router configurations, as it will prove helpful.

Παντως τελειως περιπτωση, ''ηρθαν τα αγρια να διωξουν τα ημερα''. Παιζω μια ζωη με joypad και αντιμετωπιζω τους αλλους ετσι, τωρα απο που και ως που θα ερθεις εσυ με το ποντικι σου, το οποιο καν δεν υποστηριζει η ms, αλλα το τσιμπησες απο ενα online καταστημα και θα εχεις πλεονεκτημα στο live τι να πω.. Αν θες να παιξεις με ποντικι το call of duty παιξτο στο πισι, αν θες να παιξεις στο live να παιξεις με ισους ορους με τους υπολοιπους.

 

Με αυτό που λες συμφωνώ κι εγώ, είναι όντως cheat αν κάποιος παίζει με xfps στο online. Η Microsoft θα πρέπει ή να το απαγορεύσει ή να υιοθετήσει δικιά της υλοποίηση του xfps.

 

Αλλιώς μόνο offline.

No Resident Evil 5 Until 2008 (or Later)

Translations of translations point to RE5 in the distant future.

 

It's a translation of a translation of a translation -- what a pain. According to Gamefront via Famitsu Xbox 360 (that's not the same thing as Famitsu) and brought to you by way of Babelfish, it looks like the only-announced-and-then-vanished Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game (moneyhats pending) Resident Evil 5 will not make it to store shelves until sometime in 2008. We'd heard rumblings that said "Resident Evil is a long way away," and the Famitsu Xbox 360 interview with Capcom producer Jun Takeuchi confirms just that.

 

Other bizarre translation nuggets included Jun Takeuchi talking about how the hair textures were going to be awesome, hot and cold would be gameplay mechanics, they are targeting 60 frames per second and the game might bring peace in the Middle East (one of these is false).

 

Furthermore, as Resident Evil 5 likely would ship in late-2008, it's not farfetched to think that this game could actually end up shipping in 2009 -- just in time for us to get ready for the next console cycle to begin. Woo!
