xrest Δημοσ. 7 Νοεμβρίου 2006 Δημοσ. 7 Νοεμβρίου 2006 Three Weeks of Halo 3 Begins Now It's more Halo 3 than you thought possible. Ziff Davis' Three Weeks of Halo 3 begins today with four editor blogs from the writers who happily voyaged up to Kirkland, WA and Bungie's studio for a first look and hands-on with Halo 3. # EGM Editor-in Chief Dan "Shoe" Hsu chronicles our day at Bungie, offering an image-rich portrayal of the day's events. # EGM Senior Editor Crispin Boyer shows readers what it's like to pen the Halo 3 cover story and shows some words that he left on the cutting room floor. # Gamevideos director Mark MacDonald bullet points some of the highlights from the trips, from how he feels about some of the new weapons to having a Master Chief helmet in his living room. # 1UP's News Editor Luke Smith loosely (and sappily) explains why Halo is his Mario -- whatever that means. http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3154947

Sonic's spin dashing into next-generation with Sonic the Hedgehog this fall, and while the PlayStation 3 version won't be arriving until a little after the Xbox 360 version, both sets of console owners (well, soon-to-be, at least) can secure themselves a collectible Sonic the Hedgehog 15th anniversary figurine by pre-ordering the game at their local GameStop or EB Games (or online).
Daredevil Δημοσ. 7 Νοεμβρίου 2006 Δημοσ. 7 Νοεμβρίου 2006 Nyko Xbox 360 Gear Reviews MultiReader, ChargeStation, and PowerKit put to the test. Nyko is expanding its line accessories for the Xbox 360 just in time for the holidays. They're out to make sure your 360 never runs out of USB ports and your wireless controllers never run out of juice. We're out to put them all to the test. Nyko MultiReader 360 Though the Xbox 360 isn't hyped as quite the multi-media machine that the PS3 aims to be, Microsoft's console can do a bit more than just playing games and watching DVDs. If you've got a Windows Media Center PC, the Xbox 360 can act as a bridge for streaming your PC content to your home theater setup. Peeping your pictures and tunes stored on your PC in your living room is a cool concept, but there are still a relatively low number of people with Windows Media Center PCs. What to do, then, if your Xbox 360 is now giving you an inferiority complex in the face of the PS3's built-in memory card readers? Perhaps you're even becoming concerned about running out of USB ports for wired-controllers, iPods, and the upcoming Xbox 360 HD-DVD player. Nyko has a solution on hand for each of these worries, and it is the MultiReader 360. The MultiReader 360 from Nyko is essentially a USB hub for the Xbox 360. It offers three USB ports as well as reader-slots for the most popular flash-memory standards (Smart Media, Compact Flash, Memory Stick / Pro, and Secure Digital). Since it occupies one of the 360's three built in USB ports, the MultiReader essentially adds two additional ports to the mix, allowing users to conceivably connect four wired controllers to save some money. For what it is, the MultiReader does its job well. If your Xbox 360 is the heart of your home theater and you like showing off your pics, the memory card reader makes browsing and displaying your memories on the big screen an easy task. The addition of extra USB ports also allows for keeping a variety of devices tethered to the 360, like wired controllers, mp3 players, the Vision XBL webcam, and the HD-DVD drive (though you shouldn't run that through a hub). Though perhaps somewhat niche, the MultiReader doesn't fail in any task it undertakes, and is decently attractive as far as USB hubs go. Price: $29.99 IGN Score: 8 out of 10 PowerKit 360 Now that we've become accustomed to using wireless controllers thanks to the 360 we can hardly bring ourselves to pick up anything that's as archaic as a tethered pad. Of course, once you enter the world of wireless the issue of batteries becomes an ever present concern. If you play the 360 hard you'd best keep a stack of AAs next to your games (we use them up every 1-2 weeks), or go the rechargeable route. Nyko has two solutions engineered to maximize wireless playtime and save the environment from destruction via empty AAs. The PowerKit 360 includes a NiMH rechargeable battery pack and USB-based charging cable, which plugs into the Xbox 360 controller to charge the battery and make a wireless pad into a wired model when you run out of juice. The PowerKit's tether is 11 feet long, which adds a degree of flexibility if you're reduced to playing while your battery pack is still charging. Microsoft makes essentially the same product, which it has dubbed the Play & Charge Kit. Nyko's PowerKit takes the edge in a direct comparison due to its lower price ($16.99 vs. $19.99) and longer cord. IGN Score: 7 of 10 ChargeStation 360 The main problem with both the Microsoft Play & Charge Kit and the Nyko PowerKit is the fact that the Xbox 360 must be on, or in standby, to provide the juice to recharge the battery packs in the controller. Unless you've got the skills to plan ahead, chances are your wireless controllers will spend more time wired up to recharge than roaming free. To remedy this situation, Nyko has the ChargeStation 360. The kit includes two NiMH battery packs and a plug-in-the-wall base station. The base station is, of course, able to charge the battery packs whether the 360 is on or off, and does so rather efficiently, able to charge two dead packs in 4 hours, or a single battery pack in just 2. Convenient LEDs on the base station alert when the charging is in progress or complete. If you're gaming alone and aren't a completely lazy bastard you'll have no chance of ever running a wireless 360 pad flat out of juice. Like the PowerKit, the ChargeStation is Nyko's alternative to a very similar Microsoft product, in this case the Quick Charge Kit. Both products claim the same charging times (2 and 4 hours) and battery pack charge (25 hours). The Microsoft product, however, is priced at $29.99, while the ChargeStation is a more expensive $34.99. Nyko's Charge Station takes the win, however, due to the fact that it includes 2 rechargable battery packs, whereas the Microsoft offering only includes one. IGN Score: 8 of 10

xrest Δημοσ. 7 Νοεμβρίου 2006 Δημοσ. 7 Νοεμβρίου 2006 Itagaki getting sued over sexual harassment I former employee of Tecmo is suing them, in particular Itagaki for the sum of 1 million dollars. She claims that after a business party they shared a taxi, both living in the same direction, where Itagaki said to her. "You're married aren't you." "Well I like you" and proceeded to force himself upon her, going so far as to put his tongue inside of her mouth as well as grope her thigh and breasts. Both in shock as to what was happening and fear as to what an influential member of the company could do to her she froze up, but someone managed to convince him to back off. After they got out of the taxi he again grabbed her by the wrist and tried to lead her to a love hotel. It goes on to state that on many occassions he would lock himself in with her in the corporate waiting room where he would try to caress her, and carried out similar acts of sexual harassment while on business trips together. The employee complained to the company, but was told to "Solve the problem herself". Itagaki admitteed to kissing the woman but claims, "The feeling was mutual". The company reprimanded him for irresponsible behavior and he was demoted, but maintained the exact same position and responsibilities. Suffering psychological trauma the woman took two weeks off from work, where then she was given a pink slip. de m kanei idiaiteri entipwsei...lol:) http://www.zakzak.co.jp/top/2006_11/t2006110710.html
