At last weekʼs EA Summer Showcase event, Valve finally revealed the exact games it is developing for the Xbox 360. Gabe Newell, president and co-founder of Valve, revealed that they plan to release a hell of a package for the Xbox 360 under the Half-Life 2: Episode Two umbrella that will not only include the second chapter of "expansion" episodes for Half-Life 2 but also enhanced versions of Half-Life 2 and Episode One plus the all new Team Fortress 2 and Portal. privateer Δημοσ. 23 Ιουλίου 2006 Μέλος Δημοσ. 23 Ιουλίου 2006 Kane & Lynch Anyways, the game is about a sociaopath-lynch and a killer/professional thief (wasn't quite clear) kane. Kane has been sentenced to be executed and is on the transport to the prison when Lynch attacks the bus and kidnaps him. He's doing this because Kane worked for a group called "The Seven" and was doing jobs for them when he decided to take a whole shitload of loot from them and hide it different places before being arrested. They've offered Lynch Kane's spot in The Seven if he gets it back, so he kidnaps Kane to get him to help him. Kane's motivation for helping him after learning why Lynch has kidnapped/Free'd him, is that if he gets all the loot back The Seven are still going to fucking kill him, but they won't torture and kill his wife and kid. This is all apparently the opening to the game BTW. So, with an already dark story. The game has a few other unique things. Like they really don't want any menu's for the game (which, as GI points out, is the total opposite of their Hitman Series), so everything is going to be intuitive and easy to control. Which is an understandable step if you played Freedom Fighters. Also, the game will have alot of story, but a bare minimum of cutscenes. Like, you learn the backstory of the characters by having near-death experience flashbacks. So if you get severly hurt, the screen will fade away to either a gameplay flashback or you'll hear conversations from the past while everything becomes blurry. Sounds like its inspired from Hitman: Contracts. You'll control Kane during the game, but have squad (they don't like the term since it makes it sound military, organized, and over-complicated) controls of him and anyone else in your team during missions. Except during co-op, where one player will control Kane and the other Lynch and each player will control half the squad but can transfer members to each other. There are signs around the developer's office that sign "Remember Co-op" because they want the game to be just as seamless with 2 players as one. Every level can be played either single or co-op with extra co-op only levels. The multiplayer is being promised as "something thats never been seen before", I guess something innovative ala Splinter Cell's Merc vs. Spies. Lynch also needs to take his meds, because each act of violence sends him closer to the edge. He can both run out of meds or after a particularly crazy sequence, he'll flip the fuck out. He'll do things like drop his gun and walk up to people and continual smash their heads against the floor til theres nothing left. They say they are being careful that this won't interefere in a game-breaking way. They want it to be a reminder how unstable Lynch is, but not affect the gameplay. They'll have a way to stop him from flipping if it happens during a particularly important sequence. The game defiently is taking a huge amount of style from Micheal Mann films. The look is particularly close to both Heat and Collateral. The developers say they are aiming for Heat for the style of the gunfights. While Heat isn't my favorite movie, the big gunfight in the movie was totally fucking awesome with a huge amount of visceral chaos in it.

While the price listed in the photo is Canadian, I'm guessing that the price in the U.S. will be same as the current premium console price, or $399.
