Today, Xbox Live unveils Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays, a new program that will provide a regular launch schedule of new Xbox Live Arcade games for gamers worldwide. Starting today, Xbox Live Arcade games will now go live worldwide on Wednesdays at 0800 GMT (Midnight Pacific) – hitting gamers around the world all on the same day.

 

 

 

Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays kicks off with a blockbuster summer schedule of eagerly anticipated retro titles. Gamers looking for a blast from the past can download ʽFroggerʼ – the beloved Konami classic arcade title – today on Xbox Live Arcade. Other Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays titles debuting in the coming weeks include ʽCloning Clydeʼ, ʽStreet Fighter IIʼ Hyper Fighting,ʼ ʽGalagaʼ and ʽPac-Man.ʼ To date, Xbox 360 gamers have downloaded more than 5 million Xbox Live Arcade games and the release schedule sizzles all summer long, with the following titles arriving on Xbox Live Arcade:

Microsoft has confirmed a new program called 'Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays', which features a regular weekly launch schedule for new Xbox Live Arcade games over the Xbox 360 online service, seemingly addressing multiple recent game delay issues for the much-vaunted service.

 

Starting today, Xbox Live Arcade users will now go live on Wednesdays at 0800 GMT (Midnight Pacific) to download the first in what will be a series of new releases.

 

The program will start with a release of Konami's 1981 arcade classic Frogger. Other Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays titles debuting in the coming weeks include Cloning Clyde, Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting, Galaga and Pac-Man. Details on pricing for each game were not immediately released.

 

Xbox Live Arcade's Frogger has been enhanced for the Xbox 360, and features new, enhanced artwork that matches and complements the original style. In addition, according to Microsoft, the game's audio, including sound effects and music, has been modernized to sound crisp and clear on today's high performance sound systems.

 

The complete schedule is announced as follows:

 

- July 12 – Frogger

- July 19 – Cloning Clyde

- July 26 – Galaga

- August 2 – Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting

- August 9 – Pac-Man

 

"There's no better way to revisit the 80s than to throw a retro-themed Gold Experience party - complete with the right classic arcade games, music, and pizza," said Ami Blaire, Global Marketing Director for Xbox Live. "So this summer, live it up on your Xbox 360 and enjoy our new twists on the old classic faves."

The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion downloads just keep comin'. The next one will hit this Thursday for PC and Xbox 360 owners -- this time for the low low price of $1.89. What a bargain! Called "The Vile Lair," here's what you get for your dollar and change:

 

* A multilevel lair for murderous players to find refuge

* The Font of Renewal, where a player may purge himself of Vampirism

* The Shrine of Sithis where the infamous player may heal and be cured of disease

* A Dark Minion, who the player may employ to find gold in a most unseemly manner

* A 'cattle pen' for vampires to dine

* An indoor garden of venomous plants, including the notorious Chokeberry to feed to your enemy

* Various furnishing upgrades, including a study room and storage area

 

So, basically, this is an addition for those players who have turned to the dark side. Either way, it's good to see the folks at Oblivion have learned their lesson and aren't offering relatively super expensive content not fit to see the light of day.

δεν θυμασαι οτι το PhotoMode στο PGR3 εχει καποια effects εξ'απ'ανεκαθεν? δεν ειναι photoshop. ειναι pgr. σκετο!

 

μολις τελειωσει η microsoft το update στο σερβερ, θα μπορεις να ανεβαζεις απο το 360 τις φωτο σου στο live, και απο εκει στο φακελο σου στην ιστοσελιδα.

Microsoft says it's being overwhelmed by new game pitches for Xbox Live Arcade. At the Develop Conference today in Brighton, England, the firm's Jeff Sullivan said, "We're saturated."

 

He offered some tips for producers hoping to get their games on the service. They include:

Gameplay that is immediately obvious to the player.

Multiplayer options that include co-op play. "Co-op is crucial in the broadening effort," said Sullivan.

A worldwide appeal -- not just North America.

Appealing graphics.

Downloadable content options.

Tie-ins with orther products or games.

 

He said 65 percent of Xbox Live users had downloaded an Xbox Live Arcade game, with downloads now at 5 million. The conversion rate is still about 20 percent (demo to purchase) compared with less than 2 percent in the PC market. "This is blowing away anything in the PC space," he said, explaining why the service is so popular with developers.
