λοιπον, τα νεα απο την ασια λενε οτι:

 

* οι ασιατες παρατηρουν ενα φαινομενο στα friendslists τους αντιστοιχο με οταν ειχε βγει το oblivion, δηλ. ΟΛΟΙ παιζουνε chromehounds (multiplayer βεβαια και οχι single)

 

* το game εχει φουλ customization οχι μονο σε επιπεδο "χτισε το ρομποτ σου",

αλλα και σε επιπεδο "ζωγραφισε το κιολας" (color, decals, οπως forza)

 

 

 

* το single player story ειναι στην ουσια training για το multi. εκει εχει ολο το βαρος το παιχνιδι. ξεκλeιδωνεις ομως καποια καλα upgrades.

 

* six classifications of hounds: commander, defense, sniper, scort, solider, heavy gunner

 

the basic components of a hound:

legs (wheels?), body and engine

hounds have no hands, give them weapons insteads

rifles are sorted into long(sniper+cannon)/mid(rifle)/short range(machine gun)

vision: night, thermal, radar, etc

weight is a limiter on what you can fix.

new components can be acquired by high ranking in mission

the higher the rank, the more you will get

also can be brought or traded

Project Sylph looks like it will offer an intense arcade-style shooting experience. The stages that have been revealed so far are set in space and feature scenes with over a thousand enemy ships, along with giant mother ships. All of this is presented like never before thanks to the power of Xbox 360.

 

As you blast your way through the stages, an on-screen display provides you with information about your ship and your surroundings. The game displays a simple radar output, showing where your enemies are, and also shows gauges for shield and armor. The screen also provides details on your current formation; it appears that you fight along side at least two other ships.

 

You'll be able to equip four weapons to your ship simultaneously: a nose weapon and three main weapons. As you clear stages and earn points, your weapons can be upgraded, resulting in a total of over 50 weapon types.

 

Project Sylph promises to feature something for everyone. Outside of shooting, the game will include story and character elements, told through CG sequences. The shooting segments can be toned down for novice players with an easy mode which simplifies the controls

δηλωσε σε μεσα σε μια συνεντευξη του οτι το 360 θα ερχεται με εσωτερικο HD-DVD πριν το τελος του χρονου (!!!)

 

ΒΕΒΑΙΑ,

πολυ συμφερει τον κ. toshiba να εχει καθε ενα 360 μεσα κι απο ενα απο τα HD-DVD του, και φυσικα ειναι προς οφελος της εταιρειας του τετοια rumors,

αλλα απο την αλλη εκανε τις δηλωσεις αυτες με σχετικη σιγουρια.

 

σε καθε περιπτωση παντως, αν ισχυει, θα πρεπει το δουμε να ανακοινωνεται σχετικα συντομα απο την ιδια την microsoft.

MS Confirms Live Arcade Unplugged Concept

The company isn't exactly denying a retail collection of Live Arcade favorites.

 

Enthusiastic gaming news readers will doubtless have seen rumors of Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged, a collection of Live Arcade "hits" (including Geometry Wars, of course) packaged for retail. The idea would be to introduce the joys of Live Arcade to the many X360 owners (according to Microsoft, as many as half of the install base) who haven't connected their spanky new console to the Internet.

 

Though evidence of Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged has become increasingly conclusive (several sites posted game lists and very official-looking box art this week), until now Microsoft has been cagey about confirming the title, carefully not commenting on rumors and speculation, as it were.

 

Today, however, Microsoft opened up a little, perhaps not confirming Unplugged, but at least implying that the collection is an awfully good idea.

 

"Xbox Live Arcade has quickly become a fast growing obsession within our Xbox gaming community," a Microsoft spokesperson told IGN. "So, in the effort to extend the Xbox Live Arcade experience to the slice of gamers that may not be able to connect to Xbox Live, we are exploring a retail offering of Xbox Live Arcade games. Once official details including titles, timing and pricing are finalized, we'll make a public announcement at that time."

 

Of course, once Microsoft is ready with that announcement, we'll be right here, passing the information along.

σχετικα με το εσωτερικο HD-DVD, ενω η 'ειδηση' ειναι ολοφρεσκια και μαλιστα μολις δημοσιευτηκε και στο eurogamer,

ηδη καποια ατομα που υπογραφουν σαν μελη του "MGS/Xbox Community Team", διαψευδουν την ειδηση στα διαφορα εξιδεικευμενα φορα..

Hope I made here in time before you guys start killing each other about whether or not we will be releasing a 360 with an internal HD DVD drive.

 

We have no plans to release the Xbox 360 with an internal HD DVD drive.

According to the general manager of Toshiba Information Systems Division in Australia, Mark Whittard, the high definition video war between Toshiba's HD DVD and Sony's Blu-ray formats will spill over into the games console market within months.

"One looming potential war extending from this is the Xbox versus PlayStation," says Whittard. "The Xbox is coming out with an HD DVD player towards the end of this year. With Microsoft's marketing engine behind HD DVD, who knows what will happen."

 

The Xbox 360 is coming out with a HD DVD player? This is news to us. We were under the impression that there would just be a HD DVD plug-in available.

"I would imagine that there are plans in place to put an HD DVD drive internally in future revisions of the product," says Whittard. "They're not speaking about it publicly at the moment but I would expect them to do that and fairly soon."
