Forza Motorsport 2 details

 

After we brought you the first details on the game, the German Gamefront compiled a list of new facts and details found in the official Xbox 360 Magazine. These 9 new facts have been released by developer Turn 10.

 

* The damage model programming took six months. The gathering of the required data took them another nine months.

* There will be no cockpit-view. There will be another view however, which was also planned for the first Forza, but due to technical restrictions that didnʼt make it into the game.

* For the Photo and TV mode, the team is working close with Bizarre Creations (Project Gotham Racing).

* Forza TV is being copied directly from Project Gotham 3 and implemented in Forza 2. Some concepts from Forza 1 were also used in PGR3, like seamless integration of career and multiplayer mode.

* There will be 3 damage configurations: optical, normal and simulation. De first one will only have a cosmetic effect on your car while the other two will influence driving.

* The ʽdrivatarʼ is also back, and will play a bigger part than in Forza 1

* Like in the previous Forza, you can paint and use stickers on your car, the tools will roughly be the same, which also means you wonʼt be able to import pictures.

* Downloadable content is in the pipeline. Youʼll be able to download new stickers for example

* The game will be released November this year.

Rainbow Six Vegas to Feature Face Mapping

 

In his latest podcast, Major Nelson has revealed that the Xbox 360 version of Tom Clancyʼs Rainbow Six Vegas is one of the games that will feature face mapping technology (most likely provided by Digimask) thanks to the Xbox Live Vision camera.

 

This feature will allow Xbox 360 gamers to incorporate their faces into game characters, a very cool feature for multiplayer games like Tom Clancyʼs Rainbow Six Vegas. Now the question is, will other games featuring multiplayer modes like Gears of War, Brothers in Arms Hellʼs Highway and Halo 3 incorporate this technology? We hope so.
