The extra $10 makes a difference, which is why so many people were excited when The Outfit and Burnout Revenge became $39.99 late last month. It's taken a little longer for popular launch titles Ridge Racer 6 and Condemned: Criminal Origins to make the shift, but everything that goes up must eventually come down, and The Frugal Gamer says both games have taken the plunge to reasonably priced at EB Games, GameStop, Best Buy and Amazon.

Daredevil Δημοσ. 6 Ιουνίου 2006 Δημοσ. 6 Ιουνίου 2006 Engadget Hands-On With 360 Dashboard Update The guys at Engadget have got down and dirty with the new 360 dahsboard update which promised a huge 125 updated features. They have quite a number of pictures and take a browse at some of the newer features, they say it's a solid build with no major slowdowns and like what they see, they just wish all these features had come around a bit sooner! You even get a little pop up notice which informs you when a download is complete - how cool is this update ? Very cool. Big shout outs got to the team at Xbox for making such a great update and listening to consumer requests! Check out the hands-on at Engadget.com.

We've surpassed lots of cool numbers in the past, including numbers of total players, hours played and all that stuff, but we thought we'd note that at as of around noon today, a half-billion games of Halo 2 have been played on Xbox Live. That's a lot of games. To clarify - that's actual games, not player-sessions. That also doesn't include games we lost because the website was down, or through other technical issues. Our advice is to right-click and save your preferred format. Do not attempt to stream the big ones - especially the full HD 720p one. In this fascinating short, you'll see some of the teamwork, thought processes and imagination that went into this Halo 3 teaser. You'll see the actual orchestra and choir session, some of the in-studio production work and interviews with some of the key folks who worked on the E3 presentation. You won't see everyone - lots of folks who slaved over hot keyboards to make this trailer a reality were simply too busy to be interviewed - and to them, our heartfelt appreciation. But you will see some footage from the trailer that didn't make the cut, and you'll see angles and views from the realtime footage that we kept for this piece. And if you look very, very carefully, you'll see hints of things to come.
