Xbox 360 Update Doesn't Fix 360 Firmware Hack Compatibility

 

It was thought that the new 360 dashboard update would seek to squash the firmware hack compatibility. There were phrases in the update such as 'better disc recognition' which lead people to believe that this was some kind of innuendo for meaning backup games will be detected and blocked. However people across forums and Mr Ecko confirm that 'Xtreme backups' work with the new dash update.

 

Some members of the MaxConsole Forums speculate MS may not have fixed this hack in order to ban people at a later date, or even to try and calculate the extent to which the firmware hack has been received.
