Lost Planet Director Says Game Is Only 60% of 360s Potential

lostplanet.gif This is a bit old, but we wanted to bring it to you anyway. Keiji Inafune of Capcom, the man behind Lost Planet, stated that they are only using about 60% of the XBox360's potential with the game. Take into account that Lost Planet is one of the best games out and it is only in demo form, and you can see we are in for a real treat this generation on both systems.

Assassin's Creed coming to Xbox360 & the game isn't all 12th century

We also saw a few seconds of the front end of the game. Normally that's not something worth writing about, but... just don't expect the entire thing to be set in the 12th century from what we saw...

Also anybody that doesn't know about what they mean I can tell you. The reason the game was originally called project assassin is because apparently you might not really be in the 12th century at all. Apparently you are the victim of some twisted experiment along with many others in this top secret program called project assassins. As you go about the game carrying out your assassins and what not you'll notice certains that may not seem right (matrix sorta deal I'm guessing or maybe you'll dream about the truth of what is really happening to you)

Anyway as you go about these assassination missions you are being observed by scientists, but you aren't really an assassin, but as you lay in some lab and dream you think you are. They notice you are showing an impressive level of progress throughout beyond many others. You'll eventually figure out something is wrong and probably snap out of it they figure there is nothing to fear you aren't really capable of all those things anyway or so they thought.

Basically all of that was a rough breakdown of something I read elsewhere and its definetly true to a degree that you are being used in some type of experiment. The guys in the 1up blog talked about this as well.

[b']Assassin's Creed coming to Xbox360 & the game isn't all 12th century[/b]
Το άρθρο δεν λέει ότι θα έρθει στο xbox360 σίγουρα, ούτε το πότε .

"Right, before we start let's get this out of the way. Ubisoft has only announced Assassin's Creed for PS3.

We've asked them if it will be coming to Xbox 360 and they won't say anything other than the fact that it has only been announced for PS3. But something tells us there's a good chance it will eventually come to Xbox 360... Thanks for your attention."

Halo 3 doc coming

Bungie.net confirms short film focusing on the E3 2006 trailer of its anticipated shooter; doc will feature new "angles" on trailer.

When a company has a property as hot as the Halo franchise at its disposal, it would do well to keep major details under wraps until just the right time. It's also important that little nuggets of info get planted into the minds of its fans to keep them happy and keep the message boards lit up with "Master Chief r00lz" posts.

After denying for quite some time that it was heading back into the Halo-verse, Bungie revealed--through a trailer shown at Microsoft's pre-E3 press conference--that it is working on Halo 3. Though the trailer was enough to send Halo fans into orbit, the news that it was made entirely from the in-game engine blasted them to another dimension.

Those eager to learn anything and everything about the trailer will get the chance soon. On Bungie.net, "content monkey" Frankie O'Conner reveals that a short documentary about the trailer's making is in the works. The film will concentrate on what went into making the teaser, as well as those involved in creating it. It's unlikely that new footage will be included, but Frankie promises that fans will get a look at the trailer from new "angles." It is currently unclear how or when the documentary will be released.

GameSpot got a look at some those angles behind closed doors with Bungie reps at E3, documented in a close-up look at the trailer. Halo 3 is currently scheduled to be released on the Xbox 360 sometime in 2007.

Naruto (X360) confirmed

Paris, FRANCE – April 6, 2006 – Today Ubisoft, one of the worldʼs largest video game publishers, announced that it has signed a strategic non exclusive licensing agreement with TV TOKYO Corporation and SHUEISHA Inc., to develop games based on the hugely popular Naruto anime series for the Microsoft Xbox 360™ video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. The new titles will be available in North and South America and European territories in 2007.

With Naruto, Ubisoft will develop for the first time a game based on a Japanese property. Naruto was first launched as part of SHUEISHAʼs weekly manga magazine in 1999 and Naruto manga books have sold more than 50,000,000 copies in Japan alone. Manga books are published in the US and major territories of Europe as well. Naruto anime series debuted on TV TOKYO in 2002 and has already spawned several successful video game titles in Japan as well as multiple character merchandise and two movies. Now, Naruto anime is aired with tremendous success on Cartoon Network in the US

NARUTO takes place in a world where ninja are the ultimate power. Uzumaki NARUTO is a ninja-in-training who is learning the art of ninjutsu with his classmates Sakura and Sasuke. The trio studies under the instruction of their teacher, Kakashi, who helps the group face a series of dangerous and daunting tests and challenges. Through their adventures, the young ninjas learn the importance of friendship, teamwork, loyalty, hard work, creativity, ingenuity, and right versus wrong.

“Naruto will broaden our portfolio and contribute to achieving our strategic goal of earning 25% of our turnover through licences,” said Christian Salomon, Director of Worldwide Licensing at Ubisoft. “Naruto is part of a wave of Japanese manga and anime that appeals to kids and adolescents alike, and we plan to deliver them every bit of the excitement they have experienced in Narutoʼs books, movies and TV shows.”

“Iʼm confident Ubisoft will manage to create an exciting Naruto game, while respecting the animeʼs spirit of passing on positive values and a lot of fun” said Hayato Date, Naruto anime series director.
