Press again to EXIT METHOD 2 Press SLEEP TIMER and set the SLEEP TIMER for "0" MIN. Press DISPLAY and VIDEO STATUS at the same time (while The SLEEP TIMER information is still on screen) to enter the SERVICE MENU Press MENU UP/DOWN to select an item (including other menus) Press MENU LEFT/RIGHT to adjust Press EXIT to return to a previous menu. Press again to EXIT METHOD 3 I have used this on JVC sets from 1995: Set the clock to 3:21 AM. Start the clock as you normally would but press MUTE while "Thank you" is flashing. Press MENU up or down just after MUTE. Use UP/ DOWN to select options and LEFT/ RIGHT to adjust. The settings are automatically saved when you exit. MAGNAVOX METHOD 1 With the set ON, push: 0 6 2 5 9 6 then MENU. The channels will change but when menu is pressed, the TV will enter the service menu. Press MENU to change adjustments To save your changes, press POWER on the TV set. "Preset Memory" will appear, then the set will power down. Note: Before entering service menu mode, make sure you power the TV on, off, and back on using the POWER button on the TV only. This should enable you to use the power-off button on the TV, after you made your changes, allowing you to saving them. METHOD 2 With the set OFF, push 0-6-2-5-9-6 STATUS. Set will come on in SERVICE MODE. Shut power off at the set to save settings. Some sets require that you unplug the set to save the settings. METHOD 3 Press MENU on the remote, while the menu is still up press the numbers 0 6 1 5 9 6 or 0 6 1 5 9 7. One of these will bring up the service menu. Press LEFT/ RIGHT arrows to select an item Press UP/ DOWN arrows to adjust METHOD 4 Enter 1 6 2 5 9 6 then MENU to enter the adjustment mode on some sets. The word SERVICE will be displayed Press 1 or 4 to select an adjustment that you want to change Press 3 or 6 to adjust Press MUTE then ENTER to save each adjustment * For Sony’s made around 1990 press and hold a recessed button on the rear of the set as you turn the TV on instead of pressing DISPLAY, 5, VOL+, PWR (hole for button is under VIDEO jacks) TOSHIBA With the set ON, press MUTE once remote, then press MUTE again and hold in down while pressing MENU on the TV The letter S will appear on the screen to show that the set is in the Service mode To select the adjustment that you want to change press CH+ or CH - Press VOL+ or VOL- to adjust METHOD 2 With the set ON, Push the MUTE button on the remote 3 times and on the third time hold it down then press MENU on the set. ZENITH Press and hold MENU until the user menu disappears (5 - 10 sec.) *The remote or the keyboard on the set can be used Immediately press 9, 8, 7, 6, ENTER (this will bring up the service menu) * On models with 10 buttons keyboard, without delay, press simultaneously ADJ. RIGHT and CH+ * On model with 6 button key board, without delay, press simultaneously VOL+ and CH - Press and hold MENU until the menu disappears The set should now be in the service menu mode. To access most of the features selection 00 needs to be toggled from 0 to 1 After your adjustments 00 needs to be toggled from 1 to 0 To exit the service menu press ENTER
