Bluetooth USB dongle

Θέλω να πάρω ένα Bluetooth USB adapter για να συνδέσω το laptop μου με ένα SE P900 smartphone.

Ποια η διαφορά στην προδιαγραφή Bluetooth 1.1 με την 1.2 ?

Έχει σχέση με την συμβατότητα συσκευών που θέλουμε να συνδέσουμε ?

 

Άσχετα με την κατανάλωση, συμφέρει η αγορά class 1 (100m) ή class 2 (10-50m) ?

Εκτός της εμβέλειας υπάρχουν κάποια άλλα πλεονεκτήματα ?

 

Προσανατολίζομαι για class 1, ίσως για μελλοντική χρήση για PAN.

Εγω εχω ενα της Level One.Φοβερη συμβατοτητα με 4 Nokia και 2 Sony-Ericsson, τα XP το αναγνωρισαν αμεσως.Καλη εμβελεια, σχεδον περναει μεσα απο τοιχους.

Τελικά η προδιαγραφή Bluetooth 1.2 αφορά την καλύτερη προστασία μεταφοράς δεδομένων με μεγαλύτερη "ανωνυμία", την προστασία από παρεμβάσεις από άλλες συσκευές κι την συμβατότητα περισότερων συσκευών.

The Bluetooth Special Interests Group is finalizing the newest specification for the wireless technology. The new standard, version 1.2, will include improvements in frequency sharing with 802.11 technologies, improvements in quality of service, and more. The new standard will be totally backward-compatible with the 1.1 standard, but will also aim at connecting many more devices to personal area networks. Probably the most important feature in the new standard is the Adaptive Frequency Hopping built right in. This is what will keep Bluetooth and 802.11 devices from interfering, but it will also keep cordless phones and microwaves from competing with your PDA and your mobile phone when they're trying to connect. The 1.2 standard should also let multiple devices connect to one single device via Bluetooth better. Plus there's a new anonymity mode that offers more security, and a lot of work going into the "five-minutes-out-of-the-box" experience. I'm really enjoying Bluetooth these days. I picked up a Cliι last week, and I'm checking my e-mail via my T68 once every 20 minutes. Interestingly enough, I have an 802.11b network, microwave, and 2.4GHz cordless phone all within 15 feet of my phone at home, and I can connect with no trouble with my PDA.

Το Bluetooth 1.2 υποστηρίζει μεταξύ των άλλων και Audio Gateway, δηλαδή μπορείς να χρησιμοποιήσεις bluetooth handsfree (το οποίο πρέπει και αυτό να υποστηρίζει 1.2) ως ακουστικό και μικρόφωνο για το PC. Το έχω δοκιμάσει στο Skype και με το κατάλληλο Plugin λειτουργεί

Νομίζω πάντως πως και ΒΤ 1.1 devices υποστηρίζουν τη χρησιμοποίηση BT headsets για VoIP εφαρμογές. Έως την Τρίτη θα το εξετάσω.

Έχω χρησιμοποιήσει bluetooth handsfree (ένα της Jabra) με bluetooth 1.1 usb dongle και skype χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα

Ίσως μπορείς αλλά εξαρτάται από τους drivers των bluetooth. Για παράδειγμα ο driver που περιέχεται στο SP2 των windowsXP δεν έχει δυνατότητες δικτύωσης. Αν ο driver της συσκευής σου τη δείχνει και σαν κάρτα δικτύου δεν θα πρέπει να έχεις πρόβλημα...

Ναι το καλύπτει πλήρως.

Το v1.2 είναι ας πούμε ένα update του v1.1 και που δεν αλλάζει τίποτα αλλά προσθέτει.
