Γιατί άραγε?

Μερικές φορές όταν τοποθετώ κάπια CD στον δίσκο μου για ανάγνωση, τότε όταν προσπαθεί να τα διαβάσει, όλα "παγώνουν" και τίποτα δεν κινήται. Τι να φτάιει άραγε?

Οταν ειναι ενεργοποιημενο για τα drive, αυτα στελνουν δεδομενα απ'ευθειας στη μνημη κ' στιγμιαια σταματανε τη ροη δεδομενων που εχει το Gui (η επιφανεια δλδ) με τη μνημη

(για να φαινεται real time η κινηση του ποντικιου-παραθυρων).

Win98 εχεις? (σ'αυτα γινοταν αυτο θυμαμαι)

Μπορεις να απενεργοποιησεις το DMA για τα CD-drives απο τη διαχειριση συσκευων.

Αν μιλάμε για win98

Disable DMA for the Drive

To disable DMA for the CD-ROM or DVD drive, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

2. Double-click System.

3. On the Device Manager tab, click View Devices By Type.

4. Click the plus sign (+) next to CDROM to expand the branch.

5. Click the CD-ROM or DVD drive that you want to change, and then click Properties.

6. Click the Settings tab.

7. Click to clear the DMA check box, and then click Close.

8. Close Control Panel, and then restart the computer.

ναι αλλα αυτα είναι για τα win98. Εγώ έχω ΧP και δεν είναι έτσι όπως μου το περιγράφεις.

# Go into your Control Panel by first clicking on the Start Button.

# Then click on Settings, then Control Panel.

# Then double click on the System icon to open up the System Properties window.

# Now click on the Hardware tab located at the top of the screen.

# Then click on the Device Manager button in the center area of the screen.

# Now click on the plus sign [+] next to the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers to expand that section.

# Then double click on the Primary IDE Channel to display the Primary IDE Properties window.

# Then click on the Advanced Settings Tab at the top of the screen.

# Now for Device 0, ensure that the Transfer Mode: selection is set to DMA if available.

# Then for Device 1, ensure that the Transfer Mode: selection is also set to DMA if available.

# Then click on the OK button at the bottom of the screen to save your settings.

# Then double click on the Secondary IDE Channel to display the Secondary IDE Properties window.

# Then click on the Advanced Settings Tab at the top of the screen.

# Now for Device 0, ensure that the Transfer Mode: selection is set to DMA if available.

# Then for Device 1, ensure that the Transfer Mode: selection is also set to DMA if available.

# Then click on the OK button at the bottom of the screen to save your settings.

# Then close Device Manager and the Control Panel to return back to your Windows session.
