kostacurtas Δημοσ. 23 Απριλίου 2006 Share Δημοσ. 23 Απριλίου 2006 Donkey Kong and Mario for Revolution "first-generation cycle" Games! According to N-Sider, Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has confirmed that a new Donkey Kong game is in development for Revolution. The title is being developed by the team responsible for Super Mario Sunshine and Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat, but will not use bongos, instead opting to use the Revolution's unique controller. According to the magazine, the game is a "first-generation cycle" title, meaning it could show up near launch and will likely make an appearance at E3 in just a few weeks! According to the same article, it's confirmed that a new Mario game is also set to be a "first-generation" cycle title, which we should also see at E3. This, however, should be much less of a surprise since Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has previously stated his desire to see Miyamoto complete a new Mario title for Revolution launch. http://www.n-sider.com/articleview.php?articleid=505 Συνδέστε για να σχολιάσετε Κοινοποίηση σε άλλες σελίδες άλλες επιλογές
iSpO_fAcTo Δημοσ. 23 Απριλίου 2006 Share Δημοσ. 23 Απριλίου 2006 Pre-E3 Conference Times Set The three big guns of the games industry have all announced the times, dates, and locations for their annual pre-E3 press conferences. May 10th and E3 are slowly creeping up on us and all eyes and interest of games journos and fans alike are focusing in on the Los Angeles Convention Center. But in the two days before the actual expo Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft will try to out do each other and grab more attention than the others, with their Pre-E3 press conferences. Nintendo will be holding its press conference at 9:30am PST (approx. 5:30pm UK/Ireland time, 6:30pm CET) on May 9, 2006 at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California. Attendees can expect to hear more details on the Revolution console, as well as software for the platform, and more information concerning its unique controller. And let's not forget we will see the world's first public demonstration of the Revolution as the (extremely) lucky winner of Nintendo and AOL's sweepstakes competition will take the stage to be the first ever consumer to play with Nintendo's next home console. The real question is which game will he/she play, could it be Red Steel... or something we don't even yet know about? Also expected is additional details on the company's redesigned DS Lite handheld, including more details on Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, which Nintendo president Satoru Iwata unveiled at GDC last month. Nothing about controlling the whole game with nunchuk/FHC. -Pikmin 3 is 100% complete: Yes, reliable. The control is as I described yesterday on "icks post". -Midway has three titles on the way. One being "incredible": This and following rumors come from a translation of "BigTacʼs" posts over revoeurope, which we consider an interesting source for rumors so we dedicate a little part to him. However, heʼs not any of our sources and has nothing to do with our website. We only translate his posts as a curiosity, because heʼs already succeded with many announcements. -Several Sega System games will be available on VC. -Capcom will have 2 titles in the E3 of a form or another one. http://70.84.195.34/~revo/index.php?subaction=showfull&id=1145833162&archive=&start_from=&ucat=3& Συνδέστε για να σχολιάσετε Κοινοποίηση σε άλλες σελίδες άλλες επιλογές

kostacurtas Δημοσ. 24 Απριλίου 2006 Share Δημοσ. 24 Απριλίου 2006 Nintendo's Revolution: Return to Glory Don't count Nintendo out yet, the Revolution is very much in the running for top next gen console. Τα πιο σημαντικα κομματια απο το αρθρο: Ever since the unique controller design was unveiled at the Tokyo Game Show last September, we'd be lying if we said everyone around the GameDaily offices had been enthusiastically awaiting the new, "mainstream" Revolution. However, after talking to some important people and shaping up our own version of the Revolution launch, we've come up with a scenario for Nintendo returning to the top. Nintendo has two huge things going for it when we're talking Revolution. First and foremost the company has the download service. In Japan alone, this should cause quite a competition for the number one console next generation. Looking at the success of the classic series of titles Nintendo released for the Game Boy Advance over the last few years, it's no secret that the Japan love old school Mario, and old school Nintendo in general. While the download service will be big in the US and Europe, if the Revolution heats up in Japan, Japanese developers will hop on board to develop some big time titles for the Revolution that will ship across the world. The second thing Nintendo has going for it with the Revolution is the extremely unique controller design. You can say what you want about playing a game with a remote control, but the fact remains that every developer we've spoken with has something very unique in the pipeline for the Revolution. Of course the controller and download library are not the only two things Nintendo has going for it with the Revolution. The price and the launch window lineup will be very critical when it comes to how well the console performs this holiday season and in the future. When presented with a $400 Xbox 360 or PS3, against a $200 Revolution, money savvy consumers are going to be picking up the Revolution just as much as the hardcore gamers will be going for the newly released PS3. When we think of a possible launch lineup for the Revolution, the possibility of the console performing well becomes even more likely. It's hard to argue the idea that Super Smash Brothers Revolution and Mario Revolution won't make launch. Add to that Metroid Prime 3, Animal Crossing Online, and maybe another Pikmin title, and you've got a very solid launch window. You've also got to mention the third party titles we've been hearing about, along with The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess with special Revolution features. If you really look at the games coming for the PS3 and Xbox 360, nothing compares to our assumed launch lineup for the Revolution. Sure, Nintendo's target market will be younger than Microsoft and Sony, but younger does not mean smaller. We could easily see more people buying the Revolution than the Xbox 360 and PS3 this holiday season. Nintendo is definitely not out of the picture yet, it's very much alive and waiting to reclaim its number one spot. iSpO_fAcTo Δημοσ. 25 Απριλίου 2006 Share Δημοσ. 25 Απριλίου 2006 First Tony Hawk: Downhill Jam Details Unveiled The June 2006 edition of Nintendo Power magazine revealed a few details regarding Activision's Tony Hawk: Downhill Jam, which the publication confirmed to be exclusive for the Nintendo DS and code-named Nintendo Revolution platforms. The magazine stated that "by using the Revolution controller's motion-sensitivity, racers will be able to turn and boost without touching a button. The game will also feature button combinations to pull off tricks that recall the controls for the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater and Tony Hawk's Underground titles." According to Nintendo Power, Tony Hawk: Downhill Jam will incorporate four-player split-screen multiplayer, eight new racers, as well as eight environments modeled after real-world locations, including Machu Picchu in the Andes and the hills of San Francisco. In-game characters will also get a speed boost when the controller is thrust forward. The developer for this new Tony Hawk title is Toys for Bob, a wholly-owned Activision subsiduary. Founded in 1989, Toys For Bob is best known for developing the space action adventure games Star Control and Star Control II which were published by Accolade. From 1993 to 2002, the studio worked exclusively with Crystal Dynamics until it was fully acquired by Activision in May of 2005. Nintendo Power noted that more details and screenshots for Tony Hawk: Downhill Jam will be available in the July issue, but the game is likely to appear in some form at E3 in May. Atari Confirms Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 According to a recent interview with IGN, Atari confirmed Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 for Nintendo's next console, code-named Revolution. "The innovative controller featured with Nintendo Revolution is perfectly suited for Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2," said Atari Marketing Director Matt Collins, "which engages players with fast-paced fighting moves. Gamers will be able to play in a very physical way, mimicking several of the show's most popular character moves and pull off awesome combos and attacks." The game will feature over 100 playable characters, 15 destructible 3D stages and nine game modes, including multiplayer combat. "Using the Nintendo Revolution controller, players will be able to mimic signature moves as they are performed in the Dragon Ball Z animated series, such as Goku's Kamehameha, moving both hands to executive this devastating energy attack," stated Atari. The Dragon Ball Z series, originally an anime in Japan, became popular in English-speaking countries after being dubbed on DVDs and making appearances on Cartoon Network. The series has had several game titles in the past, dating from the current-generation consoles back to the Famicom system in the early 1990s. Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 is currently set for a holiday 2006 release. Συνδέστε για να σχολιάσετε Κοινοποίηση σε άλλες σελίδες άλλες επιλογές
