Είναι σαν να έλεγα 2 x 48 x 2 x 500... εκτός από τα 2 shader ops ανά pipeline έχω και 2 shader ops ανά κύκλο ρολογιού, δύο εις την δεύτερη δύναμη δλδ. Και φυσικά έκανα λάθος στο ότι το νούμερο που αναφέρεται στα site είναι 96 δισεκατομμύρια και όχι εκατομμύρια.

Λοιπόν.... λές ότι εκτός από τα 2 shader ops ανα pipeline (σε κάθε κύκλο ρολογιού) έχεις και 2 shader ops ανά κύκλο ρολογιού. Μα πού? Φυσικά σε κάθε pipeline. Δηλαδή, αυτοί οι δύο παράγοντες που λές στην ουσία είναι το ίδιο πράγμα! Κατάλαβαίνεις λοιπόν ότι όπως το λές, έχουμε 4 shader ops σε κάθε κύκλο ρολογιού σε κάθε pipeline. Και στην ουσία πολλαπλασιάζεις έναν παράγοντα (τις 2 shaders ops per pipeline per cycle) με τον εαυτό του! Επειδή ζαλίστηκα όμως από αυτό που έγραψα, θα το αφήσω να το αναλύσετε εσείς καλύτερα.

Narayan Δημοσ. 4 Μαΐου 2006 Δημοσ. 4 Μαΐου 2006 Αυτό που είπε ο εκπρόσωπος της ATi στον Kyle Bennet, αν έχω καταλάβει καλά, είναι ότι με σωστό προγραμματισμό, μπορούμε να έχουμε διπλάσιο αριθμό ops σε κάθε κύκλο ρολογιού. Το ότι έχουμε 2 shaders ops per pipeline per cycle είναι ξεχωριστό χαρακτηριστικό, και έχει κάνει πολλούς να μπερδευτούν ακριβώς επειδή ούτως ή άλλως έχουμε 2 ops για κάθε pipeline και επιπλέον μέχρι και διπλάσεις επιδόσεις. Με απλά λόγια έχουμε 48billion shader ops / sec., και με καλό προγραμματισμό φτάνουν έως και 96billion shader ops / sec. Οι τεχνικές μου γνώσεις δεν μου επιτρέπουν να καταλάβω πως είναι αυτό εφικτό, ωστόσο αυτό ΙΜΗΟ δήλωσε ο εκπρόσωπος της ATi.

Codemasters has confirmed that it is developing a new Colin McRae Rally game, which is set for release in 2007. The game has been given the working title of CMR '07 and is in development for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. It will feature races with multiple cars on one track simultaneously, as well as online multiplayer. The series has been on a break for two years now, and the time has allowed Codemasters to implement racing modes that will supplement the traditional point-to-point rallying in the form of hill climb and rally cross events. CMR '07 will also offer cars that have been modeled on the real thing, in addition to official rally tracks from around the globe. Although little else is known about the game at this stage, Codemasters is also promising gravel, mud, and dirt racing and a wide variety of off-road and rally disciplines. The game is still in an early stage of development, but we'll keep you up to date on all the latest developments.
