Να προσθέσω ότι και τον φεβρουάριο πούλησαν μόνο 161.000 στην Αμερική,( μια αγορά που απορροφάει το 60-75% των πωλήσεων του xbox), και όπως φαίνεται έχουν πολύ δρόμο ακόμα μέχρι να φτάσουν τα 2.5 εκ ή να πάρουν ουσιαστικό προβάδισμα.

 

Ουσιαστικά δεν θα επηρεάσει πολύ το ps3 μια μικρή καθυστέρηση στην launch day, αλλά η δυνατότητά τους να παράγουν και να πουλήσουν μεγάλες ποσότητες γρήγορα.

Δεν μιλάμε για Νοέμβριο βέβαια, ας περιμένουμε για αυτό αφού μοιάζει υπερβολή και εντελώς αντίθετο με όσα έχουν πει από την Sony μέχρι σήμερα.

Γενικά υπάρχουν πολλά που πρέπει να έχει κανείς υπόψη: ακόμη και το ενδεχόμενο να παρουσιάσει η Sony το PS3 ως μια "νέα" κονσόλα, απέναντι στο "παλιό" XBox360 (που θα κυκλοφορεί ήδη πόσο; 1 έτος; ). Μην πέσετε να με φάτε, δεν λέω ότι το X360 θα είναι όντως παλιό, αλλά πόσοι από τους αγοραστές θα γνωρίζουν πότε έκλεισαν τα specifications των 2 κονσολών;

Χωρίς αυτό δεν μπορεί να βγει ps3, αλλά σίγουρα δεν είναι κάτι τόσο τρομερό και από ότι κατάλαβα μένουν μόνο οι τελευταίες τυπικές λεπτομέριες .

Εξάλλου τέλος Μαίου έχουν προγραμματιστεί τα πρώτα blueray players και οι ταινίες, οπότε λογικά θα είναι έτοιμο μέχρι τότε.

 

Το ίδιο link που λέει για την καθυστέρηση αναφέρει ότι όλα τα άλλα είναι έτοιμα για το ps3, και η ίδια η sony είχε πει πρόσφατα ότι θα τους περιμένουν μέχρι τελευταία στιγμή για βγεί το ps3 την άνοιξη.

 

Θα δούμε σύντομα μάλλον, αλλά το να καθυστερήσουν 6 μήνες για αυτό το πράγμα ακούγεται εντελώς παράλογο.

 

Και εδώ κάποια κείμενα που νομίζω έχω ξαναβάλει για το θέμα... δεν έχω δει κάτι νεώτερο επίσημα από τότε.

AACS (Advanced Access Content System), one of the many copy protection standards being folded into high definition discs, is holding up both standards, and so long as they're both committed to running with it, they're going to be delayed -- which would, in theory, take away Blu-ray's late-release handicap with HD DVD. Then again, maybe not; the AACS board is supposed to meet on the 23rd or 24th of this month, and apparently expects to have this all sorted out within as little as two to three weeks. Guess we'll have to wait and see on this one.

Sony is planning to delay the launch of the Sony PS3 until November of 2006.

 

It has now been confirmed, Sony has released a statement advising that they have decided to postpone the PS3 because of an issue with the Blu-ray DVD format, The Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported today. The various electronics and movie companies pushing the next-generation DVD format have fallen behind schedule on agreeing to a technology standard to prevent unauthorized copies, the report advised.

 

One of the key features of the PlayStation 3 is the ability to play Blu-ray DVD discs. Many market analysts expect the PlayStation 3 to help drive adoption of the new disc format by being the least expensive Blu-ray player on the market when it launches.

The stock fell 1.3 percent to 5,500 yen as of 9:26 a.m. on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, compared with a 0.6 percent gain in the Nikkei 225 Stock Average. Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. spokesman Daisuke Nakata declined to comment on the Nihon Keizai newspaper report saying the player would be sold from November.

The Sony conference is taking place right now in Japan, and we have the details. First of all, the PS3 release date. Sony has confirmed a November release for the unit this is a global launch release date, no specific date but they said from the 1st-10th. Apparently once the unit is released, Sony will produce one million units per month with a total of six million units in 2006 alone. All software will be released on the Blu-Ray format for the purpose of preventing piracy, and as for the HDD, if software requires it Sony will include one. Developers are being told to develop with the HDD in mind though.The drive itself will be 60GB, upgradeable, and it will support Linux. As for backwards compatability, Sony announced that the PS3 will be 100% backwards compatible and all PS2 titles will be displayed at high-definition resolutions (like the XBox360). Sony will also launch the PS online network with the Playstation 3. The basic service will be free, more details coming.As for price, Sony has said the unit will not cost less than 50,000.00 JP YEN. This equates to $425.607 USD. Oh boy. In closing Kutaragi said "Cell realizes a four dimensional world. Let's chase this dream together."

Aυτό που θεωρείς ψέμα είναι αλήθεια' date=' και αν διαβάσεις επίσημες ανακοινώσεις στα blueray και hd-dvd sites θα το δεις.

Αυτά που υποθέτεις σαν αλήθειες δεν ισχύουν με τίποτα... είπαμε ότι η Sony περιμένει να ξεκαθαρίσει η τελευταία αυτή λεπτομέρεια και θα ανακοινώσει τα πάντα.[/quote']

Κανένα άλλο πρόβλημα δεν έχει επιβεβαιωθεί στο ελάχιστο, και κανένα λόγο δεν έχει η Sony να αρχίσει την διαφήμιση παιχνιδιών και τελικών χαρακτηριστικών, πριν την τελευταία στιγμή.

Όπως βλέπουμε από την πορεία του xbox360' date=' μια ανακοίνωση της κυκλοφορίας του Ps3 θα το τελείωνε πρόωρα .

Ακόμα η Sony δεν μπορεί να δεσμευτεί αφού δεν έχουν τελειώσει κάποιες μικρές λεπτομέρειες με την έξοδο του blueray , και αυτό το διάστημα μέχρι την επίσημη ανακοίνωση φαίνεται να προσπαθεί με κάθε τρόπο να εκμεταλλευτεί η Microsoft για να διαδώσει φήμες περί καθυστέρησης.

t mostly bothers me that they seem to toy around with their customer base so often and without sympathy or respect. They better have a boatload of exclusives, or their dominance may come to an end via their shady PR practices.
