PS3 at the end of 2006

 

The new game console Sony will not leave before the end 2006. Howard

Stringer, President of the company, have just confirmed what each one had a

presentiment of. The PS3 will not be marketing at spring like initially announced.

The disk player Blu-ray which must be launched in less than two months is well a

key element of the success of the game console (and of the manufacturer)

which plays here a tight game vis-a-vis in Microsoft...

Playstation 3 PCB Manufacturing To Begin In June >

 

Chinese Website Mydrivers is reporting today that Taiwan manufacturer COMPEQ (who also manufactured parts for PSP) has received orders from Sony to mass produce the HDI PCB (High Density Interconnect Printed Circuit Board) for the PS3. Although COMPEQ did not give an official announcement, rumor says the mass production starts in June or July of this year. Mydrivers is a pretty reputable Chinese website from what we have been told, but still, take it as you will.

Merrill Lynch Jumps On The Playstation 3 Delay Bandwagon >

 

According to Gamespot, now even analysts at Merril Lynch are predicitng a 6-12 month delay in the release of the Playstation 3. Friedman Billings Ramsey analyst Shawn Milne issued an industry update to investors today saying Sony's clearly going to miss its spring window. Now we are just waiting on word from Sony.

 

"More supply chain data suggest the possibility of a launch delay," Milne wrote. "According to our semiconductor research team, there are further indications that the Sony PS3 launch may be late (although there remains significant confusion on the timing of launches by geography)."

Πρέπει να είναι πάνω από 10 φορές που έχει αναφερθεί εδώ η "ανάλυση" της MR , παρότι έχει διαψευστεί από όλες τις μεριές .

το προβλημα ειναι οτι η οποια συζητηση πρεπει να ξεκιναει ειτε απο το ξενερωμα με την καθυστερηση του ps3 ειτε με την απαξιωση του xbox οποτε στανταρ μυλος τη βλεπω τη δουλεια..

Αν πρόκειται για την πρώτη φουρνιά PCB για την κονσόλα, αυτό σημαίνει πως θα υπάρχει ικανός αριθμός διαθέσιμων PCB το φθινόπωρο, ώστε να καλυφθεί η αρχική ζήτηση στο launch (>1.000.000 κομμάτια). Οπότε πάμε για launch Νοέμβρη-Δεκέμβρη

 

Δεν είναι σίγουρο πάντως αν πρόκειται για την πρώτη φουρνιά ή αν τα κινέζικα PCB προορίζονται για τις κονσόλες που θα διατεθούν την περίοδο των εορτών.
