Ρε παιδες τη τσακωνεσται συνεχεια και εγω ενας gamer ειμαι που εχει PC και τωρα απεκτησα ενα xbox 360 και μια HDTV στο μελλον ενα ps3.....Η γνωμη μου ειναι παρτε την κονσολιτσα να ευχαριστηθειται μια χαρουλα ειναι....και σταματηστε το φαγωμα......γιατι κακα τα ψεματα την κονσολα που περιμενουμε ολοι και οι οποια ειναι next generation ειναι το PS3......και οποτε και να βγει να ειστε σιγουροι οτι θα πουλησει σα τρελο....αυτο που θα καταφερει το xbox360 ειναι να μειωσει την ψαλιδα μεταξυ τους.......Αυτο που εχω να πω ειναι ενα μεγαλο μπραβο στην MICROSOFT η οποια κοντραρη την SONY και βλεπουμε λογο του ανταγωνισμου πολυ δυνατα μηχανηματα στην αγορα, και να ευχεσται καμια απο τις δυο εταιρειες να μην βγει απο το χωρο αυτο γιατι στο τελος οι μονοι χαμενοι θα ημαστε εμεις............

οι περισσοτεροι που εχουνε αυτο το setup ηδη, σαφως και θα κοιταξουνε και το ps3 οταν θα βγει.

το φαγωμα και το αστειο της υποθεσης ειναι -οπως μπορεις να διαβασεις πανευκολα- οτι μερικοι απαξιωνουνε το 360 και εχουνε σλογκαν το:

"περιμενω με το ps2 ποτε θα βγει το ps3, και δεν ειμαι θυμα να παρω 360 οεο!"

γαμαει το 360. κι οποιος δεν το καταλαβαινει αυτο, ειναι στοκτον και κοληματιας..

 

οπως εχουμε πει στο παρελθον, ολοι μας θα θελαμε το ps3 να ειναι πιο καλο απο το 360 για να δικαιολογησουμε και μια δευτερη αγορα αμεσα.

απο οτι εχω βγαλει συμπερασμα μεχρι στιγμης, αυτο ΔΕΝ προκειται να συμβει,

αλλα δεν μαμιεται..

τουλαχιστον ας βγει γρηγορα το gt5... πριν απο το forza 360..

Sources: Sony PlayStation 3 launch delayed until August

Sony will postpone the scheduled launch for its PlayStation 3 (PS3) game console from this spring until August, as the company is facing several issues with its production plans, especially concerning its inclusion of a Blu-ray Disc drive in the PS3, according to Sonyʼs Taiwan-based contract manufacturers.

 

According to Sonyʼs company spokesperson, although the AACS LA (advanced access content system license administrator) was expected to finalize its copy protection specifications this month, members of the Blu-ray Disc were not satisfied with the level of copy protection and the release of the standard has been postponed.

 

However, Reuters reported on February 17 that a temporary agreement has been reached, clearing the way for the release of the blue-laser drives. Though a temporary agreement has been reached, backers of the Blu-ray Disc format do not expect products to hit the market until this summer.

 

Even with specifications for the Blu-ray Disc format being finalized, the high price of the drive will contribute toward Sony delaying its launch. According to a report from Merrill Lynch, the cost of the Blue-ray disc drive will be US$350, while rival Microsoft is currently selling its entire Xbox 360 game console starting from US$399. According to the contract manufacturers, with Microsoft not having to contend with Sony for much of this year, it may launch a version of its Xbox 360 featuring a HD DVD drive for about US$600.

 

Merrill Lynch put the total BOM (bill of materials) for the PS3 at US$900 initially, and the equity firm added that Sony is facing production issues with the IBM-designed Cell processor and Nvidia-designed graphics processor. Merrill Lynch believes that Sony will not release the PS3 in the US until the end of 2006 or early next year, and it has cut the shipment forecast to 2-3 million units for 2006. In recent media reports, different sources at Sony have been separately quoted as “flatly denying any delay” and “not ruling out a delay.”

 

According to estimates from Taiwan-based component makers, Microsoft has shipped 3-3.5 million Xbox 360 game consoles since its release, and by the end of this year, shipments should total 11-12 million units.

Nvidia unaffected by possible PS3 delay, say sources

Sales of Nvidia graphics chips should not be affected by a possible delay in the launch of Sonyʼs PlayStation 3 game console since the company is only licensing graphics technology to Sony instead of producing silicon for the Japanese console vendor, according to sources at Nvidia Taiwan.

 

Sony will postpone the launch of its PlayStation 3 (PS3) game console from this spring until August, as the company is facing issues with production plans, according to an earlier report.

 

Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Hwang, however, admitted in a conference call that the company would not receive any royalty payments during the current quarter (ending April) from Sony, despite the fact that Nvidiaʼs RSX graphics chip, the PS3ʼs graphics engine, is ready, according to a February 17 report by Realm Media Networks.

 

Sony is likely to outsource production of RSX chips to IBM or Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), according to sources at Taiwan contract makers.

 

On the other hand, ATI Technologies, Nvidiaʼs rival, seems to have gained an advantage in the PC gaming sector by supplying its R500 (Xenos) graphics chip for Microsoftʼs Xbox 360, according to market sources.

 

With strong sales of the Xbox 360 plus chip orders for Nintendoʼs upcoming Revolution game console, ATI is set to see revenues grow at a robust pace this year, the sources indicated.

Sony PS3 Presentation (IGDA)

 

Well I have just got back in from the Presentation held by igda about Developing for the PS3 which was taken by George Bain who is the Development Support Manager of the SCEE Technology Group.

 

It was interesting to hear about all the technical side of things of the ps3.

 

It also cleared up some rumours that have been making there way around the internet lately, unfortunatly he couldnt say much as it was a public event but he have these things to say:

 

1. The PS3 will support two 1080p screens and the screen isnt duplicate (rumour going round on several boards saying that Sony have scrapped this feature).

 

2. He did say that the CONSOLE design ISNT FINAL, which was interesting and releaving to know.

 

3. Why the reaosn for 7 controllers and not 8? well the PS3 is the 8th device.

 

4. Someone asked about the delay and he did say that they are still on for the spring release.

 

Alot of people asked about other things, but his usual comments were:

 

"They aren't finalised yet".

 

"That is a business decision".

 

"This is a public presentation so I can;t reveal any information on that".

 

He was leaning towards the fact that at DevStation there is going to be alot of facts and figures being released to the developers who attend DevStation.

 

Someone asked about the cost of a Dev Kit for a developer company, he dedcided he couldnt comment, and then they said, how about in comparison to the PS2 Dev Kits, again no comment.

 

So role on DevStation and definatly E3, because thats when everyone is going to be happy when they hear facts and figures.

PS3 Games Ready for Spring Launch

Apparently, PS3 developers Konami, Namco Bandai, and Capcom are not

committing to any PS3 Spring launch. Also, Square Enix, a major player in the

video game market, has no plans to launch titles for PS3 this spring.

 

However, Sony tells GameSHOUT that they are launching with or without 3rd

party game developers. They told us this morning that the Spring launch is

unchanged. However, they would not comment on what markets would be available.

Δηλαδή για να καταλάβω, όποιος δεν ενδιαφέρεται για τα games που έχει δει ως τώρα στο 360

είναι κολλημένος? Όποιος περιμένει Final Fantasy 12, Okami, Shadow of the Collossus, GT4 online κτλ

στο PS2 είναι χαζός???Το gameplay των παιχνιδιών είναι δετερεύον δηλαδή???Αν δεν είναι αυτή λογική αυτοϊκανοποίησης του "εγώ μου" λόγω του ότι έχω το πιο δυνατό μηχάνημα τότε τί είναι???

εγω μετα που πηρα το 360 και επαιζα gotham, call of duty, cοndemned, perfect dark, dead or alive, κ.α.

προσπαθησα καποια στιγμη να παιξω το αγαπημενο μου forza. (εκατονταδες ωρες εκει)

ε, μια που το'βαλα και μια που το'βγαλα στο καπακι...

ισως μονο εγω να κακομαθα με τα καινουργια γραφικα και την παραπανω δυναμη...

Συγνώμη ρε παιδιά, αλλά είναι η 5-6 φορά που βλέπουμε εδώ αναδημοσίευση του ίδιου άρθρου της Μ.R. , παρά τις διαψεύσεις από παντού , και τα τόσο χοντρά "λάθη" του .

 

-Το πρώτο λάθος στην πρόσθεση !!! , και συνεχίζουν και εδώ να έχουν το "bill of materials" με σύνολο στα 900$, αντί τα 800$ που βγαίνουν κανονικά .

-Το δεύτερο στο κόστος του Blueray , που είναι αστείο να κοστίζει στην Sony η κατασκευή του 350$ όταν βγει το Ps3 ,την στιγμή που τον Απρίλιο βγαίνουν Writers με τελική τιμή στον καταναλωτή 500$, και σίγουρα τα players θα έχουν κάτω από τα μισά λιανικά .

-Ο Cell όχι μόνο δεν αντιμετωπίζει κανένα πρόβλημα αλλά όλοι λένε πως πάει πολύ καλύτερα από ότι θα περίμεναν , κλπ κλπ.

 

Γιατί συμβαίνει αυτό ρε παιδιά ? τόσο στραβοί είναι που δεν έχουν ενημερωθεί ούτε καν για το λάθος στην πρόσθεση , ή αναμεταδίδουν και βασίζονται άραγε σε αυτές τις κουταμάρες εν γνώση τους ?
