Δεν έχεις κι άδικο. Κάποιοι σ'αυτό το thread το έχουν παρακάνει λιγάκι με τον άμετρο ενθουσιασμό τους για το PS3. Καθίστε να έρθει κι από Ευρώπη μεριά, σε 12-14 μήνες όπως φαίνεται και το ξανασυζητάμε το θέμα.

Μην ανησυχείς , από το κακό στο χειρότερο πάει μέχρι τώρα το xbox360 ... θα συνεχίσει πάντως η ενημέρωση μέχρι να ξεκαθαρίσει η κατάσταση.

Πάντως παιδιά, αν είναι αλήθεια όσα ακούγονται για το Ps3 θα γίνει πανικός μόλις κυκλοφορήσει .

The processor of PlayStation 3 , Cell , took its first steps at the time of the

ISSCC 2005 ( International Solid-State Circuits Conference ).

Ken Kutaragi , the father of PlayStation, will be expressed this Monday February 6

about the real time in data processing and the numerical entertainment...

 

Three days afterwards, it will be with the turn of James Khales from IBM to be

expressed, this time on the topic of architecture multicore of the Cell processor...

 

The ISSCC, which opened its doors today, will finish on February 9.

At my local mall, where the whole santa thing gets set up, there is this HUGE

thing being put together. Today I asked one of the workers what they were

building it for, and he said "It's for that new Playstation thingy." (He was like 60+

yrs old, just FYI) So hopefuly it is for the PS3, and others will see these in thier

malls also.

They finished the kiosk today and there is a tarp-like thing attached to a

square frame around the top and bottom of the kiosk that reads "Your PS3

information center, coming 2/28/06. Welcome Chang3" So it is definitly

for the PS3 I am guessing it will have all the info that is realesed at the

Playstation Conference in Feb.

An EBgames employee has leaked that EB and GameStop are going to take pre-orders of the PS3 soon. But to everyone's surprise, there will like be 2 packaging for you to select: $ 599 USD or $ 299 USD (O_O).

 

He also said the $ 299 version might not have the Blu-ray Video playback function, but the $ 599 version will. But still, both versions are capable of playing Blu-ray games. Now imagine a PS3 that can't play Blu-ray videos... the only word I can find is "Lame".

 

Ken Kutaragi's words are still in my head even now: "You can buy the PS3 by working overtime for a few days." I wonder if Japanese people are getting THAT well paid, or was he just referring to the $ 299 version?

Rumor Killer: PS3 will only have 1 Sku

 

Rumors about a two Sku PS3 launch proven false

 

Rumors have been running rampant this evening as it was reported on Gamerandy.com that word has come out from an EBGames and GameStop employee that the PS3 would feature two skus, much like the Xbox 360 launch.

 

The article goes on to state that there will be a $399 version which will just play games, and a $599 version which will play Blu-Ray movies. Digging further into the article, this site says that you will be able to play Blu-Ray games, but not movies on the $399 version.

 

When you look at the big picture, this seems, to put it simply, nuts. First of all, if Sony were to do two skus, one that played Blu-Ray movies and one that did not, the regular cheaper version would likley outsell since the only downgrade would be that you wouldn't be able to play Blu-Ray movies, of which you will likely own none!

 

Also another thing which makes this article completely false is that it states that you will be able to play Blu-Ray games on the cheaper version, but not movies. This is a ludicrous statement since if the system was able to play Blu-Ray games, the technology and laser to play the movies, the hardware aspect, would still have to be placed into the system at a cost. The software is not what makes the Blu-Ray player expensive, it is the hardware, the laser which reads the discs and such.

 

Further dispelling this rumor, an inside source of ours at GameStop stated that he knew of nothing pertaining to this rumor, and stated that if something was concrete, he would know about it. We'll have more as the story breaks, but as of right now, it seems like this rumor is just simply put, not true.
