Σε ευχαριστο φιλε μου για την απαντηση αλλα αν θα μπορουσες να μου δωσεις λιγο τα φωτα σου και διευκρινιζω.Οταν λες seek times τι ακριβως εννοεις και τι ειναι sata 150?Σορρυ αν σε σκοτιζω.thnx προκαταβολικα

Σε ξανα ευχαριστω για την απαντηση.Εγω το pc μου το χρησιμοποιω κυριως για autodesk-autokad,mathematica και για wow.....Προτιμαω δηλαδη ενα serial ata σκληρο με 10000 rpm ή εναν σκληρο με 16mb buffer?Μαλλον για 10000 rpm με βλεπω παρα για 16mb buffer.Εννοειτε οτι θα μεταφερω ολο το λειτουργικο μου στον καινουργιο σκληρο..

Diamondmax10 στα 200 GB υπάρχουν, ή ξεκινούν από τα 250? Τα 16 ΜΒ Buffer κάνουν τίποτα? Είμαι έτοιμος να πάρω έναν Maxtor 200άρη, 8 ΜΒ Buffer γιατί δεν βλέπω να βγάζει πουθενά το θέμα...

Native Command Queuing (NCQ) is a command protocol in Serial ATA that can be implemented only on native Serial ATA hard drives. It allows multiple commands to be outstanding within a drive at the same time. Drives that support NCQ have an internal queue where outstanding commands can be dynamically rescheduled or re-ordered, along with the necessary tracking mechanisms for outstanding and completed portions of the workload. NCQ also has a mechanism that allows the host to issue additional commands to the drive while the drive is seeking data for another command.

 

NCQ allows the drive to set up the direct memory access (DMA) operation for a data transfer without host software intervention. This is also called first-party DMA - it means that the device is capable of complex sequences of operations without CPU intervention. The drive itself knows the current angular and rotational position of the drive head. The drive then selects the next data transfer to minimize both seek and rotational latencies.

Άλλαξα 3 μέχρι που πουλήθηκε ο υπολογιστής

Από αυτούς που έχω, είμαι πολύ ευχαριστημένος

Όσο για το θόρυβο, σε ένα μηχάνημα με Prescott και 4 ανεμιστήρες (low RPM), οι δίσκοι είναι οι τελευταίοι που θα ακούσω

Αλλά πάλι τα 5 χρόνια είναι πολλά.

Τουλάχιστον κάτι θα πάρεις πίσω (εκτός από τα "τέτοια")

Δε σκοπεύω να προσθέσω κάποιο δίσκο στην "παρέα" για τον επόμενο χρόνο, αλλά συνεχίστε την παράθεση εμπειριών. Η στατιστική βοηθά πάντα...

Tελικά παρήγγειλα τον 200άρη Maxtor με τα 8 mb buffer και τα 97 ευρώ από eshop.
